Added support for Remote ID requirements in the United States.
Notes:
Update the DJI GO 4 app to the latest version v4.3.60, otherwise the aircraft cannot be used.
DO NOT update to this firmware version if the GS Pro app is being used with the aircraft. Otherwise, the aircraft cannot be used.
Restart the aircraft and remote controller after the update is complete.
Note that the update may reset various main controller settings, such as the RTH altitude and the maximum flight distance, to default settings. Before updating, take note of your preferred DJI GO 4 settings, and readjust them after the update.
If the update fails, restart aircraft, remote controller, and DJI GO 4 or DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic, and retry.
Dear customers, if you have purchased the new Mavic 2 Series drone, we hope that you can upgrade the firmware version to 01.00.00.00 or above through the App tips before using.

It was the same with the Mavic Air. It shipped with pre release FW.
This is due to the time it takes to do a FW upgrade. DJI cant do all of them before shipping and the production FW is not available as part of the the construction timetable. Most likely a few months ago when construction started.
So they are all built with Pre production FW that is only really suitable for the testing at end of build.
So they pass the Production FW update to the customers.
Its reasonable. Otherwise we would be waiting months more to get our new drones.

Sure glad they don't sell motorcycles, cars, and trucks with Pre-production FW.
Std. DJI goggles with the latest FW work only on 2.4G. RE version of the goggles will work on both 2.4 & 5.8G bands. waiting for the latest FW for this to work.(coming soon)

The DJI Goggles series 13 connects with the Mavic 2 wirelessly via OcuSync. Users can now enjoy an enhanced experience with lower latency and a clearer 1080p video transmission range of up to 8 km. 1 In Head Tracking mode, the gimbal (yaw) control range is up to -75° to +75°, offering users a more immersive FPV flight experience
13. The DJI Goggles support a 2.4 GHz frequency band only, while the DJI Goggles RE support both 2.4/5.8 GHz frequency bands and real-time auto-switching for better performance. The use of a spotter is essential when wearing DJI Goggles or Goggles RE. The aircraft should not fly beyond the spotter's line of sight.
Did you notice that the new Mavic 2 doesn't use Ultrasonic sensors any longer? They only use downward facing cameras and IR sensors. I didn't think IR was as good as Ultrasonic ?

This has nothing to do with the firmware. It will depend on when the new App will be released for Crystalsky too.
Do you have some inside knowledge stating as such?
Did you notice that the new Mavic 2 doesn't use Ultrasonic sensors any longer? They only use downward facing cameras and IR sensors. I didn't think IR was as good as Ultrasonic ?
Sparks downward sensing limit is 30m
Mavic Air 30m
Mavic Pro 30m
Mavic 2 22m
Not sure why the spark downward is 30m and Mavic 2 is only 22m with an extra camera.

Not really. I switch off sensors 90% of the time as I find it annoying.
I stay in VLOS and often fly in low light which causes a slew of alarms / warnings that I find very distracting. I very seldom use auto take off or auto land either.
Yea what about the Mavic Air that you upgrade to an unsafe .0400 in May and never bothered to fix since?
Won't buy a Mavic 2 Pro for $1500+. That's for sure.

"DJI Goggles RE can only connect to the Mavic 2 with firmware 01.00.0600 or above via DJI Assistant 2 on a computer. Firmware 01.00.0600 will be launched at the end of August, 2018. Please stay tuned."
* Anyone see firmware 01.00.0600 release yet on assistant 2? I can't look without the RE google plugged in.

Agree, I really don't use this stuff either. Just wondering about the tech

Don't know if FW 01.00.0600 is available yet. But FW 01.00.0400 for the Std. Giggles is available that works with Mavic 2

Better to have a headache with 430g of flying DJI problems, than with 905g. DJI is not capable of producing hassle free drones at the moment. All their fleet is full of the problems as soon you start to read the relevant section in the forum
Hi there, the Crystal Sky and Mavic 2 are not compatible for now, our engineers are working on this and release as soon as it is ready. Thanks for your support and patience.
Hi Ulysses Paiva, our engineers are still working on this, please allow them some time. If there is an update, we'll release on our website in the first time.
Sir, there will be JPEG only for Super Resolution and HDR. Regarding the panorama, the stitched pictures will be saved as JPEG, you may choose to save the original photos as RAW or JPEG.

I agree. That's because they keep chasing the next quick sale. Their drone intro rate is too fast. I bet we will get a Mavic Air 2 with tiny changes before we would get some REASONABLE software update (such as waypoints or the time lapse function. Pure software!)

Hey JohnnieYaz, it is estimated the 01.00.0600 of Goggles RE will be available in the next several working days, you may check later. Thanks for your patience.
Actually they do. When I ordered my Custom 981S from Zuffenhausen it was like most new Porsches updated by the dealer before delivery.
My Ducati bikes also required ECU updates at the dealer for the optional upgraded Exhaust systems before delivery.
I suspect that this is a normal new car delivery process.
So for me DJI is not that far off the mark. I guess if you bought through a dealer they would do any pre sale FW upgrades for you. Guess it depends on how professional the dealer is?

Susan: So the drone will stitch JPGs. If I want to stitch the DNG versions...I can because both JPGs and DNGs are recorded the Mavic 2 Zoom? Thanks!

Does anyone have a sample of the stitched panorama JPG that the Maverick 2 Zoom produces for download? Even better would be the 8 or so files too. Thanks!
Well can say this the new DJI GO4 .24 update did fix the video lag and pixelation problem for me using samsung s7 however there are still bugs which point to FW one the MA still drifts and doesn't like to fly in a straight line sometimes also the drone seems to tilt while hovering on the left side like the motors aren't producing enough lift.
Once the firmware has been updated, it cannot be downgraded to a former version.
Restart the aircraft and remote controller after the upgrade is complete.
Please note that firmware update may reset various Main Controller Settings, such as the RTH Altitude and Maximum Flight Distance, to factory defaults. Before the
update, take note of your preferred DJI GO 4 settings and readjust them after the update to suit your preference.
If the firmware upgrade fails, restart aircraft, remote controller and DJI GO 4 or DJI Assistant 2, and retry. Notepad++MalwarebytesFileZilla
