I went back to my favourite place this week, filming over a couple of days we had alot of wind on the second day but the Mavic Air stood its ground although a little shaky, the wind was gusting at 48 mph so i reckon it did pretty well.
Ballysaggartmore Towers are two ornate entrance lodges (one also acts as a bridge) that are situated approx 2.5 kilometres from the town of Lismore in County Waterford, Ireland. The structures are considered architectural "follies". They were constructed for an Anglo Irish Landlord, Arthur Keily-Ussher no later than 1834. He held an estate of approximately 8000 acres, the majority of which was rented to tenant farmers but he retained approximately 1000 acres as a personal demesne.
The lodges were constructed on the main avenue leading to the family's residence; Ballysaggartmore House. Local lore suggests that the grand entrance lodges were built as a prelude to an extravagant mansion that Keily-Ussher intended to build but never did as he ultimately ran out of funds due of their construction, and that his building pursuits were spurred on by his jealous wife who was envious of her sister in-law who lived at the stately Strancally Castle.
This is my longest video yet at 8 minutes, I hope you enjoy it, so thank you for watching!
OPPS Something went wrong with youtube.... new video posted below original
What a most beautiful video again Michelle, thank you very much (also for showcasing our beloved Mavic Air performing at its best)! A bit long yes, but really beautiful and with great perspectives!

I have no doubt that you will get there, cutting is brutal when confronted with beautiful footage. How was this song of great Cat Stevens? "The first cut is the deepest..." ;-) I shall try to stick to a new policy now in my videos: No clip longer than five seconds and if possible no repetitions from the same perspective. But I can tell you, it is bloody brutal and it hurts
Good job Mrs, flying in those winds proved to be a challenge to say the least, you did very well controlling the aircraft at times very strong gusts. The Towers walk is exceptional, roll on the winter snows.

Interesting history and structures. Really well flown/filmed. It looks like it would make some awesome photographs there also...
Thank you very much, yes I took photographs there too it is a lovely place to walk and visit

Ha good choice of song for comparison, yes you are right it is brutal i must try to do that also.
Who "needs" one of those new-stinkin'-expensive aircraft? ;-) You're living proof that it's the photographer, not the camera that makes beautiful images! Nice work!
A fascinating subject, well portrayed. I did feel that some footage was a little repetitive, and perhaps some judicious pruning to shorten the clip would have no detrimental effect. Thanks for the share.

Miche,
Magnificent video.
Watched it from beginning to end.
I am always amazed how you can capture the beauty of something so old.
It was nice to see that your hubby gave you a compliment on your superb flying skills. Well done.
I know how you feel about editing a long video. It just doesn't feel right cutting it to make it short.
Take care and fly safe.
hey miche - that was really super. loved the close ups, made me feel as though i was able to explore construction details personally. loved the aerial shots too - really good orbits round the turret and other good cinematic techniques very well executed. super image quality for the most part. i also loved your 'outtro"? i mean the graphics to your end of video titles looks super cool. thanks for sharing - hi to john
