This was at about 170 feet up. 2 Mavic Pro's. Only damage was replaced props on both birds. Both landed safely. Amazing machines. Another "couldn't do that if i tried" deal. I think my Mavic Pro heard I just ordered the M2P and turned suicidal...

The height you were flying appears to have saved you. Interesting to see the MP self right before it hit the ground. All is well that ends well though. Thanks for sharing.

It's like Mavic 1 had a homing device on the other Mavic. They were both in a death spiral for about 4-5 seconds then magically righted themselves and hovered. Mavic 2 had 1 prop with both tips gone about 1" on each side. Mavic 1 had 2 of 4 props nicked/chipped. Cams/gimbals did not take any damage, amazingly, and they both recorded the whole thing...

Aloha HyLenz,

Good to see the survival of both birds.  When my friend and I fly together like that, we choose altitudes that keep us separated.  Just a suggestion.  Of course we do not get such dramatic video but we do also live to fly another day.

Aloha and Drone On!

Mission was to video each other in flight. I backed off to get a better view. Mavic 2 was hovering still. I wanted to fly-by his drone at speed. Did not even cross my mind we would be in the same airspace. I mean, whats the chances of us being at the exact same altitude at close to 200'? The app's altimeters were different on both, so why not? The rest is history.

Lucky recovery for both machines. I once had a collision between two fixed wing aircraft. Both were destroyed and it was 'raining' servos.
