I can’t quite figure out if the Mavic 2 Zoom supports 4K recording at 2x zoom.   I know there is 4x zoom, I believe at 1080p, but I believe since it’s optical zoom to 2x, that it should be 4K both at 1x and 2x if I’m not mistaken.   Is that correct?

I want to know if I can record zoomed it to 2x with the 4K camera, that I can then crop to 1080p and in theory be even more zoomed in, or I suppose I could just use the 4x zoom(if supported to my understanding) and record at 1080p natively.   Is this all correct?

Yes. the zoom has manual 2x manual zoom in 4k.  FOV: 83° (24 mm); 48° (48 mm）The 4x losses 1080p would be 2x manual and 2x digital. Digital you can do in editing later, but useful while flying around to scout/better auto dolly mode I assume.

The Pro has 4k Full FOV 77° and 4k HQ mode 55° which is similar to a 42% zoom, as mentioned by others on forums.

Hi. Thank you for reaching DJI Forum and sorry for the late response. Mavic 2 Zoom shoots 4K video, 12 megapixel photos, support 2x optical zoom, and 24-48 mm lens. It supports 2x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom when recording video in 1080p24/25/30.
