Just out of curiosity.  For those who were lucky enough to own a Mavic Pro.

What are you going to do with your Mavic Pro ?

I’ll keep mine for its portrait mode and its reliability factor.  When I retire it, it’ll have its place in my museum/man cave.

Always will be a good back up drone

It's worth more to me than I could get in a sale. It will be my guinea pig drone.

I have a sacrificial Spark.  It’s my storm drone.

I didn't order Mavic 2 yet, but once I buy it I'll be using it only for night filming.

Keeping both of my MPs.   I have very little interest in the MP2 as I really wanted 4K/60 - and frankly I'm not overly impressed with the MP2 camera samples I've seen so far.   They're not THAT much better than the MP1....at least so far.    I'm probably going to keep an eye on the EVO, or maybe wait for the P4P2 replacement.

Like you said yet.  There’s not enough footage out there to make that assessment.

Keeping mine because its paid for and the Mp2 is not that much better.

I for one will never part with the Mavic Pro, to me this was and still is the best and most stable drone Dji ever manufactured. Yes the new one has more features but the Original will always be the beast

Might consider selling it when I think the time is right for an upgrade.

I will keep mine for the time being.

Already sold on eBay.  My new M2P cost me $200.00 after selling my MPP.  

I think the Mavic Pro is a good, solid drone. It has fluctuated down in price to $799 brand new, and for that value you really can't compare the overall benefits.

I have two Mavic Pros, an original & an Alpine.  I'm keeping both as they are unlocked allowing me to perform my signature missions.

Not yet.  FedEx dropped her off around 10 this morning but then I had to go to work.    Just fired her up for the first time.  About to install updates.

Thanks!  Bird, RC, RE Goggles all updated & rocking.  Very cool tech here.  Love the landing lights on the Mavic 2!  I always thought the Mavic Pro build quality was great.  The Mavic 2 takes it to the next level.  She feels so solid & little touches like the port covers, air vents, LEDs, & the magnesium allow camera, gimbal, & bottom plate look fantastic.  

The Goggle update is interesting.  To link, from within the Goggle's Link Menu you select what you are connecting to:  Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro/Adv (2.0), or Mavic 2.  Select & then just click the Link button on the bird with which you wish to link.  All sorts of new Mavic 2 specific menu items in the Goggle menus when connected.  The Live feed is just awesome!

My M2P arrives Wednesday.   Have heard that everyone is getting there’s a day early?  Did you?  I really need to jump on a pair of RE’s soon.

The Goggles are cool.  If you have old eyes consider ordering the corrective lenses with them else it's hard to focus.

What new features are in the goggles Re's?

I am with out a doubt keeping my flawless MP. I have never had an issue with my bird. Keeper for sure.

Mine was supposed to be delivered tomorrow.  When FedEx sent me a txt stating it was going to be delivered today, I was eatatic!!

Honestly I can't remember now as I only saw it for a minute.  When you enter the goggle link menu you select which model drone you intend to connect.  The choices are Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro/Adv (2.0), & Mavic 2.  After selecting you press the Link button on the target drone to establish the link.  Like a controller, it will retain the link for future sessions.  Just power up the goggles & they will reconnect automatically in future sessions.

With the goggle firmware update new menu items specific to the Mavic 2 were there.  One was you could select whether the Mavic 2 records to internal memory or the Micro-SD card from within the goggle menu system.  These features will likely be added to the white goggles firmware when their update is released.

Sold it to a colleague at work on the day of the Mavic 2 launch. Agreed with him that I'll only give him the Mavic after my Mavic 2 arrives!!!

Only had mine a couple months, Im going to keep using it for a while, until I learn all of the tricks and tehniques of Drones, then i will upgrade most likley.

That’s something I was thinking on getting is the goggles, would you recommend it Dirty Bird?

WHen I get a new M2, my MPP isn't going anywhere!!!!  Just like my P3P!! and spark!

The RE goggles will connect to the Mavic 2 series using the dual band 2.4/5.8 and works great. The std. goggles will only work on 2.4 while connected to the M2.

I have noticed my solid range using the RE goggles are not quite as good as my old std. goggles. But I am playing around with the HD settings to find the sweet spot.

Definitely worth it for the new M2

I like the m1 and probably fly it more than the m2. Also it has more batteries right now

Have not pulled the trigger on MP2, but will keep my MP. I have several other drones that I enjoy for other reasons.

Sold my original MP last year though a great drone to own.

Undecided yet. Like my Mav Air for its Uber portability and love my Pro for still photo quality. I’m considering a Mav Pro 2 if DJI fix some of the missing features removed.
