Has anyone heard when the next version of the Inspire will be released?

I find it funny people want a Inspire 2 when the Inspire 1 has nothing but problems. It would be great if the Inspire 1 was upgradeable where you can send it in. RED Offers this to their customers. Or look what the 3DR Solo is doing, they say you'll never need a Solo 2 because everything is upgradable and easy to change...

Seems to me you just want them to keep pumping out buggy rushed products like Call Of Duty games.

What are some of the issues surrounding the Inspire 1? I have the Phantom 2+ and 3 so I don't what issues the Inspire 1 has. Thanks

I haven't had any issues with mine yet but that's because I don't fly it much. I have maybe 15-20 flights. But I'm terrified to fly it after reading this forum.

I'd recommend reading a few pages on this forum you'll see what I mean.

I WANT an Inspire2 Because it is going to have some great features!!!! and all the bugs have been worked out!!  SWEET....yeah right.

Inspire 1 Bugs may have worked out, but you will get Inspire 2 bugs.

I have 304 flights on mine. Over lakes, Rivers, Forrest, and in 2 caves. I have never had one problem with my inspire 1. have something like 73 miles flown with it so far. Most the people that are having problems with theirs either cant fly or have the early production models

DJI NEVER discusses an upcoming product until it is time for it to be announced. Given the Inspire is only 5 months old, there is no Inspire 2 in the future.

Indeed, I would think the first step would be to fix all of the problems and then upgrade the camera.  The camera is inferior to that of the Phantom 3 camera, which produces stunning quality.

Not sure why all the focus is on bugs. There are thousands of people around the world flying Inspires without issue. It is a highly complex system and so there will be issues at times. I think people forget that if you go to any multi-rotor forum there are just as many complaints about flyaways using rival flight controllers such as Ardu, Pix Hawk etc etc. So flight bugs and issues are certainly not the sole preserve of DJI's products!

I have now 149 flights with my Inspire - no problems - rock solid.
Few glitches of loosing video feed.
Very satisfied

Same for me , my phantoms were great and my inspire is excellent ! But then I've flown rc for 35+ years .

I have had my Inspire 1 for about 4 months and have flowen over 100 flights with zero problems. This is my 5th quad it is the best of all of them and I love it!   

I just pre-ordered my Inspire 2 with extra battetry and dual camera.

You have to understand that what you see here is a small number of users that are seeing issues.  The vast majority of users are having no problems.

I own two I1's and have not had any issues with either of them after 4 months of owning them.  I think if you take the time to do all the required updates, do all you pre flight check lists and fly smart and cautiously you shouldn't have any problems either. I would assume some of these fly aways and other issues are simple pilot errors. People jumping in to buying the next coolest thing on the market and treating it like a
Wal-Mart toy.  Put the batteries in and just fly.

Be patient, study the forums, learn from others, do all your pre flight check lists and practice, practice, practice!!

That's right. You need to lean how to fly first. It's not a toy. It has a. Lot of options prior to and during flight. I have the RF5.7 Flight Sim and practice all the time.on my PC using a transmitter or controller. When you are flying your reactions have to be like when you are driving. You have driven so much that things begin to be automatic. It has to be the same in flight. If something happens you have to react fast sometimes. You might push the stick the wrong way. I love my Inspire 1. I bought it to produce videos. You can get excellent video from the I1 that looks like a plane or helicopter took the video. Remember, it's all about training. How many years have you flown RC? If not a lot, then get yourself a good Flight Sim that uses a transmitter and practice. When the time comes for that fast reaction you have to complete, you will be much better prepared to accomplish it.

I would hope the only upgrade we see any time soon is focused on a next level camera.  The one that's there is great, but obviously that's the most important area of the drone (provided you don't have any other issues) to keep at the cutting edge.  4k video at 60fps perhaps?

So if you liek the solo, sell your inspire an buy the Solo.


I havent had a issue with the inspire, trust me is way much more people without an issue than with issues in there inspires.

I think like all electronics they can have problems, but most of the flyaways, crashes, etc have been pilot error or pilot trying to take it to the limits.

No idea and don't much care. I will not be purchasing one if there was ever such a thing. What useful features could an Inspire 2 have that the Inspire 1 couldn't have?

Mate, honestly...and I totally mean this...where have you been or my life!  I think there's so much wisdom you can share, and I've trawled through so many threads I think you can certainly be a source of reason on!
