I recently crashed my Phantom 3.  The next time I went to fly it, the DJI app told me to recalibrate the compass.  I have tried to do so many times, but the recalibration always fails.  Any thought on what might be causing this?  How do I fix it?  Thanks.

Compass connection broke or damaged probably.

Check the sensor data in your app settings to see what's showing for the compass.
If you see zeros for compass data. you know that the compass is disconnected and will never calibrate until that's fixed.
The most likely cause is a broken compass wire in the landing gear.
If not, the connection to the main board may have come loose.

Thanks.  I will the data sensor.  Quick follow up, I have wires in three of the four the landing gear "legs."  Is this normal or should wires becoming down all four legs?

You have antenna wires in each leg but the compass is only in one.Look for the small cover plate at the bottom of one leg to see where the compass is.

3 wires are actually to the legs,2 are gray and are  the antenna of AC´s controller receiver and 1 is white for the compass sensor at the legs bottom.(rear right)

There is only 3 wires coming down the legs......one for the compass and two antenna wires.
