Hello!

Has anyone found the official Rec709 LUT? I've searched everywhere but it's nowhere to be found. It's kind of embarrasing if DJI released a product capable of 10-bit Log recording and they didn't release a LUT to correctly transform the gamma curve.

According to support, the LUT is coming, but no word on when.

Is there any word on the gamma and gamut documentation? I also can't find anything.

For now you'll have to 'roll your own'.

I tried their older LUT for the MP and it's off.  :/  Now we play the waiting game.

Hi, I have received feedback, from our engineers and found out that as of the moment, LUT is not yet available with the Mavic 2 Pro. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for the update Tony.  I will be trying out Mauro's Films LUT he created later on today and not count on DJI coming out with one.

No user-created LUT is any good when transforming Log to Rec709. Ony the DJI engineers know the sensor's gamma and gamut, it's simply impossible to do it by hand.

Don't get me wrong, use any LUT you want. But anything that's not official isn't a correct way of doing it.

Sadly, I understand that but we don't know if DJI will provide us with the correct LUT.  So, it's up to us to fill in the gaps.

I am in no way an expert.  I am a beginner in post editing.  Having a correct LUT helps us amateurs out, ROFL.  (Go easy on me).

Completely understand. If/when DJI provides us with a LUT, it will be correct, of course. But I'm just saying the opposite, I'm saying that whatever is user-created is not correct.

Anything you get from a user-created LUT, you can do the same by lowering the black clip and white clip and increasing the contrast! If you need any tips, feel free to DM me. I'm in the business for about 7 years and know my way around

That's completely fine! Grading is a very techincal process not many people understand completely and correctly, but if you're happy with your image, who's to say you can't grade?

I've just started youtubing 2 weeks ago and have a few videos on the topics of log. Expecting my Mavic 2 Pro tomorrow so I'll cover a lot on the DLog-M topic. If you're interested in that, DM me and I'll send you a link! Cheers!

Mauro, this is a really great looking LUT! Did you match the gamma curve by hand or did you use an existing LUT as a starting point? Either way, it looks beautiful, I'll definitely give it a try!

Currently working on creating a LUT based off DJI's X7 Dlog and incorporating some Arri Alexa Log-C features. Created in Resolve under careful scopes management, no sliders and guessing!

I first made a starting color correction, than with the Magic Bullet Colorista made the earthz tones  and after that an adjustement Lumetry color layer to smoothen all out.

There's nothing to check. The lut is available since today for download in the mavic pro 2 official DJI webpage.

...and chance of an official lens distortion effect now for full and HQ?

A LUT does not correct lens distortion. See Wikipedia for information about Look-up table LUT.
