Here in the US I can only fly to 400 ft AGL, or 400 ft above an obstacle if I'm within 400 ft of it. (120m for the conversionally challenged).

Although I've gone as hight as 394' (once) I tend to stick to somewhere around 150' to 200'. I like the results I get with pictures and videos at those lower altitudes than I get when I'm all the way up to 400'. That and the Spark gets real tiny that high up.

So what's the consensus? How high do you usually fly? Why?

Completely agree with you.  I’ve found so far that once I’m above 200’  or so everything on the ground starts to look awfully small for photos so I haven’t seen any reason to go higher. And I’ve also found that it seems easier to loose sight of Spark at higher altitude.

I would agree ....  150ish is probably where I would average.  Although I do occasionally like to get a wide shot from 400'.

I’d say between 60 and 90 meters usually.

Fly safe.

I agree... The most interesting pictures seem to be from not too high.. Just high enough that it gives you a different perspective than you are used to seeing.   I have been up to 400 feet only a couple of times.  I tend to shoot panorama photos at around 150 feet or a little higher if I need to see over an obstacle.   For shooting people and objects on the ground 25 to 50 feet is more than enough to get good shots.
