So I have seen videos from the P3P and have heard the motor noise occasionaly. Does the P3P have a mic that I am not aware of? None of my vids have any sound. Also, how does one get the video to save on the  mobile unit? I know it is save on the camera sd card, but I heard that it can be done on the mobile unit at the same time. I am using an samsung android device.

No the phantom 3 does not record audio at all an has no microphone onboard. Not sure what videos you have seen..
Flight video can be found under "User centre" on the first screen when oopeningthe Pilot App..

Remember to buy extra propellers and one or two spare batteries to keep you flying
