I'll be travelling to India in October (from the UK) and would like to bring my Mavic Air with me.

There is little upto date infromation regarding bringing a drone into the country and then leaving with it, does anyone know anything regarding this?

I ended up emailing one of the Indian Embassies

You have to declare your drone and pay duty on it when entering the country (this I already knew) failure to do this would be classed as smuggling

Until the new laws come into effect (December 2018) it is illegal for civilians to fly drones without a permit (a google suggests that getting a permit is almost impossible).

Long and short if you can't fly legally (unless you manage to get a permit) until the new laws come into effect.
