I think you guys are referring to the BASE ISO, which is the single ISO setting at which your sensor/processing pipeline produces its best signal-to-noise ratio and where the sensor can achieve its full dynamic range.
Im guessing 400 or 800 on this one.
Base ISO, native ISO, it's all the same I think.
For example, with my Ursa Mini 4.6k, ISO 800 gives the most balanced dynamic range between highlights and shadows. ISO 1600 gives more room in highlights, while ISO 200 gives more dynamic range in shadows. |
