Will Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus be good enough and fast enough for Mavic 2 PRO for DJI GO4 app - I need new tablet and don't know what to buy, this one have a good price and it is from 2017 Android 7.0, I have bought Samsung Tab S 8.4 and it was not fast enough for Mavic Air and dji go4

Personally i'd avoid Samsung as most incompatibilities are a result of their horrifically altered android OS.  Otherwise, anything that currently works, will work.

My Huawei Mediapad M3 works nicely, as do the never variants of it.

I can buy maybe new Huawei T5 but I don't see 8" around and size of it - there is only 10" but than I have to use bracket/plate for it and that complicate it all - M5 is just too expensive for me ..

I can buy Lenovo Tab4 8 plus for around 200$ - it is from 2/2017, Android 7.0, full HD, 3gb ram, Qualcomm APQ8053 ( octa 2ghz )

10 is too big.  The 8.4" on my M3 is pretty much perfect for me (or would be if i could read it in direct sun!)

The only andriod Tablet suitable for the drones is Samsung S3.

The approved list is ancient ,dated and worthless.

I'd always avoid Samsung for reasons of compatibility but you might get lucky if you get the right android version/hardware combination.

I got a used iPad air2 for 100 € at a second hand shop.
So far it’s working all good even on the latest 4.3.0
I don’t know why people are saying to avoid Samsung, I have Samsung galaxy s6 and it works perfectly on 4.1.15 or 4.2.12
And yes, don’t trust the list.
As I just said the Samsung galaxy s6 is not compatible with the latest 4.3.0 but sowmehow it’s on the list.

According to www.samsung.com the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has:

-9.7 or 10.5 Super Amoled 2560x1600 pixels
-4GB RAM
-Android Oreo 8.1
-7300mAh Battery
-64GB  or 256GB Storage (up to 512 GB Micro SD Card Expansion)

I would say if you're looking for a Tablet to use with the Mavic Series then Samsung is your best choice. You get Super Amoled bright display. Either the S4 or new Note 9 have at least 4GB RAM (Note 9 has 6GB and 8GB RAM), these devices based on display and RAM are best.

The major issue is most "android" compatibility problems are caused by Samsung.  Because it isn't really android.
