I have a Phantom 2 that i wish to reset firmware - and will have to reinstall firmware
No matter what i do the Drone is not recognized by the DJI assistant software
Assisant software is installed and running , drivers were installed separtedly
I have tried different usb cables - good quality
I have tried installing the DJI Assistant software as administrator to no avail
I am using Windows 7 64 bit perhaps another OS ?
32 bit or XP
Any help would be appreciated

Assistant 2 will not work on the Phantom 2.

Hi there, please upload the correct software here: https://www.dji.com/phantom-2/info#downloads and its name is Phantom 2 Assistant Software. Please let us know if you have further concern.

I ran the file as admin on windows 7 64 bit
When it comes time to install drivers no device is connected
I have tried different usb ports and even go to xp to no avail
I am leaving the drone connected to see if it catches it at some point
Its a fresh week old install of windows
Any ideas ?
