Just quick and dirty. But as you see, the skyrow is only at +13, not at +30 as for the Mavic 1.
So, if you combine it with 4 zenith shoots +60 from the bottom and one with +90 with the drone in your hand,
it won’t fit after stitching. I use that always with the Mavic 1 with an xml-file.
And the Mavic2Pro is able to pitch at +45!

So please DJI, change that for the professional user!

You can see the problem in this 2 screenshots from Autopano/XML. Mavic 1 fits, Mavic 2 has a gap.

Not sure i get it - 360s aren't seamless?

Its only for the sky. You can take zenith shoots from the ground with the Mavic in your hand and stitch it together with the shoots from the Panomode of GO4. Therefore it is important, that GO4 takes Photos from min. +30° down to -90°, not from +13 like the mavic air. And DJI can also implement +45°, the gimbal is able to work in that range.

Ah so it cuts off early.
I normally have to do a transform on the sky to stretch it.  Its "ok" at +30 degrees.
It'd look really ugly from +13.  Way more stretch.

(I tried content aware fill instead but its not seamless them in a 360 pano).

The best way is to take photos with the drone in your hand from the ground, like in this one:
https://www.inselserver.de/fileadmin/pano/norderaue/

Even if the position of the pano is different to the Skypictures, it mostly fits quite well. So you don't need fake sky or to much retouch or stretching.

If im going to do ground based photos i'll use a far better camera than the drone has though.

It is often the best way to use the same cam and it is done in seconds. And using an XML file for stitiching in Autopano or PTGui it fits without any manual settings. So why doing a retouch, when it is that easy?

For other Panos i also use a DSLR/Fisheye, but i don't like to mix cams and buying all the trouble and manual work ;)

It’s not that easy if you must come t the forum to complain that they must make engineering changes for your “easy” pano method to work.

I came to the forum, because they limited it for the Mavic 2 for no reason, for the Mavic 1 it was perfect. So i will use an other App for the shooting until they fixed it for GO4.
And i have to use XML not only for the sky, also for panos over (moving) water.

But i don't mind if you stretch the sky or use an other cam ;)

Id like them to fix it so i can take sphericals in the sky with less stretching so its a good point and yes i agree, if the gimbal does 45 degrees it should do so.

But i just dont see why id want to use the drone by holding it on the ground.

I like to have the real sky, like this example (its the one i show flat above):
https://www.facebook.com/inseldr ... 748/516180638825411

And if this costs me one more minute to take 5 zenith shoots from the ground, why should i stretch the sky and have a bad result? I did stretching and retouch at the beginning, also worked with fake sky, but now ground pic are by fare the best way for good results.
