The choice in Intellegent Flight Modes on the original Mavic Pro was:

Normal
DRAW
GESTURE
ActiveTrack
Tapfly
Tripod
TERRAIN FOLLOW

Point of Interest
FOLLOW ME MODE
WAYPOINTS
HOME LOCK
COURSE LOCK

CINEMATIC MODE
Quickshot

Linking Course Lock and Waypoints with Hyperlapse does away with their usefullness.

So it seems like upgrading to Mavic Pro 2 for the sake of Zoom and obstacle avoidance strengthening gives us considerable less freedom on choice in navigation aids compared to Mavic 1, and is rather distressing to me. Why in the hell was this done?

Now, what am I missing?

If that is true it seems a significant downgrade to me

Waypoints, Terrain Follow. Seems like the two most important ones.
In all seriousness, how many people really continued to use the left out modes?

Interesting that there are so many not on the Mavic 2, maybe DJI looked at all the loaded data and removed them as they were not used very often ???

What did terrain follow do?

Yah. I was planning "upgrading" to the 2 but with what has been mentioned thus far along with no precision landing has changed my mind.  Will keep my good old Mavic Pro.

Maybe there is a Mavic 2.1 Pro  already in the works with all the missing features.

We need course lock!  Having it for just hyperlapse sucks.  Is it coming soon like waypoint?
