Just a cautionary note as it scared the daylights out of me for a moment. Just upgraded to the new August Ronin-S firmware update in the hope that there would be some D810 support with the cable and, of course, there isn't but it does seem as though they're working on it. Focus wheel works, video start/stop works, BUT... no live view.

Okay, fair enough. They didn't say the D810 was yet supported and that they're working on it.

However, once the cable was removed my D810 wouldn't record video even off the gimbal. Tried resetting to factory defaults and that didn't seem to work, took the battery out and same issue. Also the case with reassigning the camera's record button. No success. Then took off lens and put it back again. Worked!

Just to let you all know if you have similar problems. Don't panic.

Meanwhile, would really hope that more cameras are supported ASAP. I can only imagine how long it will take to add support for Nikon and Canon's new mirrorless cameras when they're out.
