Surely its just Pano > Sphere?

Indeed it is. Asteroid is a video and Pano - Sphere is an image.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Regarding your question, the previous post is correct Asteroid is a vide and Pano-sphere is just an image that is stitched.

Ok, so Pano option is what im looking for, that takes all the different expos i need, and then autostitch them together?

Yes.  Although you're far far better off manually stitching the raws yourself.

That's true, but - just to know for sure - does the Magic 2 Pro store source pano images in separate folders or simply delivers only already stitched panorama? That'll be a big NO GO for me...

You have access to all the RAW images if you enable it in the menu.

It is an option in DJI GO 4 to save the pano shots also separately unstiched so you have all options afterwards. You just need to switch on that option.

All right than ... It'll be nice if Mavic 2 Zoom allows for customization of Pano Mode accordingly to choosed FOV ...

Yes, when activated the individual pictures get saved in a separate folder.

None done.  The auto mode is just that - an inflexible shortcut.

Just take shots manually.

Oh well, perhaps I'm asking for too much ... I'll rely on my Inspire and X5S camera for shooting truly HiRes landscapes ...

Well they axed portrait mode due to the gimbal design.  That's a bigger blow to panorama shooting in my view.  It ups the workload and images needed.

Does it really do that? I mean, wont one format compensate for the other format in terms of covering a sphere? Portrait mode would require more files in the pan axis and vice versa, or?

I don't mean a sphere, i mean a normal panorama.

Generally you'll take them in portrait mode then merge.  As it is now you can only do landscape so you're going to need twice the number of images for the same "height".  A top and bottom row.  So if you decide on a 3 shot wide panorama instead of 1x3 in portrait mode you'll now need 2x3.
