So, I heard today that the MP2 allows you to silence the RTH beep by hitting the power button once. It would be great if we could have this feature on the Mavic Air, the beeping is annoying as hell. Same for the low battery beep, you should be able to acknowledge it and then have it stop.

You are right! It should not be so difficult to do

Make that an option on ALL the DJI drones and I'll buy you a beer.

It's a simple thing to do if you open the rc. Lift the gate pin on the mosfet to the squaky speaker.

Does it require complete disassembly of the RC, or is the fet/beeper easily accessible?

Hah, maybe! I was hoping that since DJI fixed this for the Mavic 2 they could port it to the Air with no trouble. Of course, the next MA update is likely not until the middle of next  year, so maybe a hammer would suffice until then.

If the whole thing is firmware controlled (what I believe), it should be possible to implement it for all of them, we shall see. The demand for this is high, that is granted.

I find the Beep a great Safety thing , e.g. when on beach shore line and all of suddening people are coming towards you, lets them know too that a drone is going to land .

Especially if you are new like me and having enough trouble getting "out of trouble" without the alarm blaring !

I did it on m1 after that post. All I can say is it's leagues better silent.

That alarm just irritate and confuse most flyers. It use to give me a cold sweat on my first few flight, now i just want it gone, or a way to get that BEEP down to a soft, soft beep.My vote for having a toggle switch to turn the volume off, or down.

There are too many other things that have to be fixed since months and DJI didn't even bother to. I don't expect such a feature to be added at all, sadly.

I agree, the RTH & Battery low beep should have a silence switch or a way to lower it.

Hey DJI turn that BEEP off, it reminds me to land, and stand clears of the Landing Area. It stupid and annoying. Says the pilot who crashes range testing.

It would be nice to be able to silence it when you wanted to. I like the fact that it notifies me but not that it keeps screaming about it.

I took the mp2 controller apart. Need a tiny screwdriver for one of the ribbon cables though, have to pick that up tomorrow. The mp2 controller is so loud, forgot how annoying that is till was using the 5d button to adjust exposure and aperture. Really should put a volume dial on these things.
