Hi all,

I was wondering if you can connect different phone with different account on the Mavic 2 Pro. The reason is we are going to use it for work and different people will have to use it.

Thanks!

Yes you can,

Set up each phone or tablet with a different account and the drone will be happy with that.

The original activation will be recorded against the account (Email) of the device that carries out the activation, other than that it won't care.

The name of the drone goes with the drone so each phone or tablet will record its flights against whichever phone or tablet it is connected to.

Hi there, thank you for sharing. Regarding your question yes you can use different Account and Device as long the other user already created a DJI Account from the website or device.

With regard to multiple accounts.
We have a mini 3 pro that is shared with 3 people.
I was the first user to log into the RC with my dji account.
The RC needs to be connected to the internet to login and out of accounts.
If the RC is switched on and connected to the internet it will ask for login details (if last user logged out).
If the RC is switch on but NOT connected to the internet, it will always default to my login and any flights linked to my account.
This has resulted in flights I have not taken being logged under my id.
Ideally we need the RC to remember the last user logged in, regardless of internet connection, until that user logs out.
Please can someone advise.

Can't help with which account is used by default but the "a logged in App seeing ONLY the flights that that login has flown" applies to phones too.
I guess it's a privacy thing and the "who flew this flight information" is written into each log. If you want to look at all the logs on the device you will have to login to each each account sequentially or look at the DJI RC via computer etc. or perhaps if there is such a thing on the DJI RC via a normal file browser.

Thanks, but I think maybe I'm being misunderstood. I'm not interested in the flying logs of my colleagues. I just don't want anyone to be flying under my id- which is what the RC reverts to if it is started up without an internet connection (even after I've logged out!!). I've just had a long conversation with DJI support, who nearly got me to unbind the rc and the drone!! Hopefully a specialist will be in contact soon and I'll update the post.

Ahh ok, then the only thing I can think of is to log out when you have finished using the drone but, as you have already mentioned, that requires an internet connection, so not ideal. If out of wifi range could a phone be used as a hotspot in place of wifi?

Puzzling that binding should be mentioned.
Just incase, if the drone is covered by care refresh and or FLYaway insurance then the drone is most likely covered ONLY when it is being flown under the login of the person who arranged the insurance, i.e. it is probably not covered when flown under the login of the other pilots.

The error occurs only when a previous user has logged out (both myself and 2 colleagues).
When the RC is the switched on again without internet access, it defaults my ID (no login/password required) and any subsequent flights are linked to that account.

Just to check my understanding, are you saying that if you LOG OUT and someone else logs in to their own account and then logs out of their account, the RC then defaults to your account and is logged in to your account despite you having logged out of your account?

yep exactly!!- no sign in, no password needed! i have supplied dji support with videos illustrating this.

That's weird. I have the fly app on multiple phones and if any two or more are connected to the internet then logging out of the app on one phone seems to log me out of the app on the other phones.  I then have to manually log into each app on each phone.

Hi
Sorry if this is going over old ground or I need to post this somewhere else.  (First time on the forum)

My son and I want to fly the same drone (Mini 3 Pro with the RC Controller).  I use it for Search and Rescue but my son wants it for work.  We both need to keep separate flight logs.  I have registered it in my name, so can my son simply get his own account and we log in/off every time each of us use it ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi yes same question here - we currently have two Mini 3 Pro's and two of us that routinely fly. However, may be adding other pilots or in the event of "hey you're not around today I need to grab the drone..."

So if I'm understanding correctly, each Pilot in a "business structure" should have their own DJI User Account so Pilot B can grab any drone/controller set and login as Pilot B if Pilot A is not around/available.

And I like the idea of trying to train fellow fliers to remember to log out after flight ;)

Wiil everyone be using the same 'smart' controller?
If not and everyone will be using a 'dumb' controller and THEIR OWN phone then there is NO need to log out of the app.
However if they are using a common phone then yes there will be a need to log out at the end of their session or for the next pilot to log the previous pilot out and then log themselves in.

Will the pilots be 'paid' according to the number of flight visible in their flight history, if so that is an incentive to ensure that THEY are the logged in pilot, the app will NOT display flights flown using a different login.
I.e. if pilot A flies whilst the App is logged into pilot B's account, the flight will appear in pilot B's flight history and NOT in pilot A's flight hisory.

I think grand totals are unaffected by whose login is used and 'common' to all user but don't quote me on that.
