Mystery, why the Assistant 1.8 say's "Firmware missmatch" and update the FC Firmware from 2.5 to 2.5 ???

After update the error message is gone. Does DJI has a new 2.5 FC Firmware?

I think, DJI fix one or more bug's in the v2.5 firmware without change the version number.

There was issue with the v1.6 Assistant and v2.5 firmware. A few users experienced the motors going into uncommanded motor test. DJI removed the Assistant out of an abundance of caution. v1.8 will be introduced shortly.

I upgraded the firmware, with the assistant version 1.8
IMU and compass recalibrated
remapped radio channels (graupner mx-20)
no particular problem
Tomorrow testing in airfield

Those of you getting Assistant 1.8 Firmware missmatch message after upgrade could be caused by launching the older assistant by using the shortcut for the old Assistant. Be sure you are using the Assistant 1.8  shortcut not the one with  Assistant 1.6 in the shortcut´s name.
Happened to me! It´s like the installer does not remove the older version.

after updating the firmware to 1.8 , i m getting intermittent beeps from my ESC.....and secondly the controller constanntly blinks red, giving me the transmitter mid point error..i hav calibrated the transmitter multiple times...also the slider of all the sticks is at the middle position in the assisatnt software...any ideas?

Did you re check all settings? You need to go through setup  after firmware update, check channel mapping and all inputs from your transmitter.

Hi guys, just updated A2 MC to 2.5 via 1.8 Assistant software.

Now mode selection switch has to pass through MANUAL mode when I change between ATTI and GPS mode.

My question is:

When changing from ATTI to GPS and GPS to ATTI respectively, does the aircraft go in to manual mode for the brief moment when the switch is in the middle position?



I expect the aircraft will increase in throttle momentarily... can anyone please confirm wether this is the case?
