Spark 1 - Big Hawk 0 Luckily the Spark still managed to correct itself and stay in the air. 3 cracked propellers and still managed to fly it back without crashing Replaced the propellers and its back to the skies with no problems whatsoever. I have the high resolution footage from the sd card so now its time to put the dji editing software to good work.

I have this problem with seaguls and don't even dare take off at my locals docks as they're so agressively militant!!
Happy you made it back to ground safely and only had to replace props!!!

Its a MASSIVE Hawk :| At first I didn't realize what was going on because I was looking at my screen. The image went spinning around and when I looked up to see what was going on I spotted this Hawk actively attacking my lil Sparky. I quickly dropped down and landed. Even right after the attack it smoothly flew back and landed even though it had 3 cracked propellers

I'm wondering how the hawk came out of it? Probably sitting on a branch somewhere thinking that the little green bird has got a pretty savage bite.

My guess is that when I was flying over the golf course,I caught its attention and it thought I was another bird looking for a meal on its turf. I live on the West coast of Canada and we have ALOT of Predatory birds and see them everyday all over the Lower mainland soaring around in the sky. Before I take off I look around to see if theres any of these birds flying around and if so I dont fly. Im pretty confident that the bird has nothing more than a bruised ego after missing its electronic meal LOL

Lucky escape.... I have had one get close, but not that close!  I would guess the wingspan to be 4 feet at least....  Looking forward to your video of the attack.

Yikes :| It was HUGE compared to the Spark. Im just greatful that it wasn't an Eagle. They are known for scooping up small dogs and cats regularly around here. I honestly don't think that my lil Sparky would have survived that attack Im still mucking around with the DJI editing software in the app. I've only had the Spark for a few weeks now and haven't used the editor at all.

So i've been trying to get a video together with the footage of the Hawk attack and every time I clip a section for use in the overall video the quality of the clipping becomes grainy and not as crisp as the raw footage Am I doing something wrong??
