Hi all
Here is the video of my 3040 meters one way flight, total distance 6.5 km
The connection was solid the whole flight, well maybe one hiccup for about 2 sec and that’s it.
I was on 5.8 ghz range with 0 intereference on that band (I checked in WiFi analyzer)
All stock, only the plastic parabolic range extenders were used.
I could have flown further but the RTH was activated and I decided not to risk it,
I came back with 25% battery left. So I guess that the maximum would be between 3.5 to 4 km one way.
Next time I’ll try with minimal wind and not calculating by the RTH calling, but calculating by the time flown.
I guess maybe I can make it to 3.5~4 km. But that’s it, no more battery. I don’t know how the guy in Brazil managed 5 km, but in extreme case it’s possible.

I sped up the video because there’s a limit on sky pixel of 500 mb max upload and 8 minutes is too long for a drone video to watch

Oh my god, skypixel takes ages, but after some time it loads perfectly from the first try, It just takes time.

Yes. Because I saw one video on YouTube of one guy testing the normal vs sports mode on long range flights, and the results were the same. It wasted the same amount of battery and same distance was achieved, more or less. Very close. So it doesn’t matter, faster if you are in sports mode.

Hmmm today I saw another video and the guy there managed 500 meters more on normal speed.
Next time I’ll try on normal on the way out and sport mode to come back home.

It does take for ages, hopefully that's something which can be resolved in a future firmware update?

Hi all
So today I tried the long range test on normal speed.
And I tell you, no way you can reach far that way,
Just simply because the speed was 9/10 km per hour!!!
By the time I got the rth warning low battery,
I could only reach 1100 meters on that speed!
So for the long range test,you need to do it in sports mode!
