Hi guys! I've just created a new tutorial on how to recreate/fake the Dolly Zoom effect with the Mavic 2 Pro! That's right, the dolly zoom can be done even with the Pro, and the result is almost the same!
It's a very simple process to do in any editing software, but since we are digitally zooming the shot, we are trading off the final resolution. So it's best to do this for projects which aren't going to be delivered in 4K, but in 1080p
Hope it comes in useful, and feel free to ask if anything is left unclear!
Great video. I was going to do this with my Mavic Air, but you beat me to it. I also learned something about Premiere with the Easy-in Easy-out. I'm going to have to try that out. THANKS A LOT MAN!

hahaha thanks man, do your tutorial! Just because I did it for the mavic 2, doesn't mean there won't be people to watch it for the Air!
I was actually thinking of doing the same tutorial in Resolve, but it would be a bit too much to make the same tutorial in a different software hahaha
In the Edit tab, select your clip and place the playhead on the first frame. Bring up the effects panel (I think it's called Inspector or something like that). Set the scale to 0.500 and click on the little diamond icon right next to it. Then place the playhead on the end and type 1.000 in the Scale. Resolve should also place the keyframe automatically. That should be it, from the top of my head. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Great tutorial. Learned a lot. Going to try this with my Mavic Air. Liked and Subbed. Hit me back for some Mavic Air vids and give me some tips on how to make my footage look more cinematic. I'm going to download your DLog-M too. THANKS
This is not going to stop people from buying the zoom, who wants to sit in front of a computer doing all that when they can just get the same results with the press of a button on the remote. It’s working smarter not harder lol. I got some really cool shots of alligators Baskin in the sun, and did it without disturbing them. It was very exciting and adventure filling being able to get that kind of shot
I really don’t know about dolly zoom but my eyes do not like the effect at all. It looks strange to me but maybe that’s how it’s suppose to look. I do think it’s awesome what you came up with and it was an excellent presentation.
