If it was that simple, we'd all fly solar boosted drones.
In rough numbers, your Mavic needs about 30 watts to fly.
A 200 x 200 solar panel would provide 5 watts under ideal conditions.

You're right. I have only seen this drone but that is certainly not a multicopter like a Phantom:

This likely trickles voltage from both batteries simultaneously.
So you can’t charge and use intermittently one or the other flight packs. It’s not as you would hope or expect.

Perhaps some day in the future you will have the option on your device or RC to switch over drone batteries.

I have always wondered why there is no drone that uses supporting solar panels. During the flight, for example, support is provided from the solar panels and thus brings the flight time from 25 minutes to for example 35 minutes.

The phantoms need a 100w charger, can you imagine how big the panel would need to be, thats about as practical as putting a sail on it so you ddint need to use as much power when its windy ;)

I actually wanted to try some on ice cream sometime, but my doctor suggested not to.

Because it’s the antidote to a hot sauce overdose. ;-)
Milk and sugar. Whipped cream works great too, the aerosol can variety.
