Mavic 2 Pro.
Hi. I failed a pre-flight inspection, so just sharing. Took off over by the Everglades to watch the sunset. As soon as I took off, and was over the water, I got a message on the iPad to the effect “Battery not latched” (Playback didn’t display the message, so unfortunately, I can’t share the exact wording) I Sloooowly stopped the aircraft, slowly backed up, and slowly landed. Looking at the battery, I thought it most certainly is in correctly. However, when I picked it up and looked more carefully, the battery was not fully inserted. I was able to push down slightly more and heard the battery Latches click into place.
Thank you DJI for the message! Nice job! A good program saved the day here.
So, just want to point out that the battery can be pushed down to look "almost" flush with the body. It can be hard to tell if it's not down and latched totally. So, make sure you double check. I got lucky the battery stayed "simi-connected" long enough to get back on the ground safely.
Everyone around me was very impressed with this drone. Everyone just loved the landing lights. Looked great just after sunset.
(If it goes down in the Everglades, it's gone for good! ). :>)
