You will get some noise, yes, but it solves another bigger issue. With the Mavic 2, like the Mavic Pro before it, any sharpening at 0 or below turns on the noise reduction automatically and you can't turn it off. However, the noise reduction is overly aggressive, particularly in the shadows, resulting in soft footage. You can fix noise in post, but you can't recover lost data due to the overly aggressive noise reduction. Turning the sharpness to +1 or higher kills the automatic noise reduction, but you don't want to go higher than +1 because of excess noise. Essentially, for the best possible result between the combination of the Mavic and your post production is +1 sharpening, where it should always stay.
