What my eyes saw was a much better image with the P4P right out of the camera. The P4P camera is no joke! I own the M2P and Hopefully some software tweaks will improve the image for the M2P
Well the battery test definitely wasn't fair... imo and I agree the mavic Pro 2 would probably have still won...he definitely used an old p4 lower capacity battery and not the standard p4p V2 white battery (higher capacity)
Maybe I have overseen something, but another reason for the binning/skipping may be the 10bit processing.
No problem DJI, simply implement the same 8bit D-Cinelike full sensor readout as with the P4pro. This current 28mm FullFOV quality is simply inadequate since it's no 4K (!!), it's only close 2.7K!
In the manual and the FAQ DJI tell's us that the FullFOV mode is downsampled (!) to 4K "resolution" (and no word of degration to 8bit)! This is not true since the readout is skipped or binned and the "resolution" is also not 4K (the P4pro reaches that at least very closely, 2 years old technique and also with an older SoC)! We currently only get an "imagesize" of 4K with only about 2.7K imageresolution!
Maybe they are working on this and just haven't finished yet.

Any reaction form DJI side? It is very frustrating.
You resurrected an ancient thread but I agree, the out of drone/camera results from the M2P are indeed inferior to that of a Phantom.
The basic settings with 'Hasselblads Color Science' are made to emulate that 'cinematic' look. Great if you film a Blockbuster movie ... not so good for most other things.
Too soft ... too yellow ... not enough contrast.
Takes quite a bit of change/work to make it useable. Good once done (still inferior to a Phantom) but not for the casual drone user.
For most a M2Z, Pro or even Mini is a better choice. If you are a Semi Pro or dedicated Photographer the M2P or a Phantom are the better choice.
if you use it to record lines charts it is very important issue. And you should trust in its review method. For me the best comparison is using both in real life, There is no comparison between m2p 10k footage and P4 video. It is an old thread and just for P4 nostalgics.
