Hi,

It seems the RE disturbs the signal between R/C and M2P, when I power off the RE, the signal is ok. I cann't flight more than 200 metres in open area.

What is bad?

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience caused. Can you please try to refresh the firmware of your DJI Goggles via DJI Assistant 2? Let see if this will work. Thanks.

I have the latest .600 FW for goggles RE, also the latest ones are installed to the drone, its R/C and all batts.

The windows app still offers "Update" even thought it shows the latest one is already installed.

Hi. Can you please try to connect your drone to DJI Assistant 2 via PC and refresh your firmware? Please try to reinstall your DJI Go 4 app too.

I had similar problems. Try to install the antenna, that was the thing that solved it for me.

The antenna is dedicated for analog 5,8. It is mentioned in the manual and DJI FAQ

That was my understanding as well, but after trying it, my conclusion is the antenna makes a big difference. Pls see this thread about this topic: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... p;page=1#pid1560011

I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!! IT IS SOOOO FRUSTRATING!!! I have the mavic 2 zoom and I lose signal with the RE goggles at around 1000 m, then i just disconnect the goggles and the signal returns perfectly fine with the controller alone. I have the antenna plugged into the goggles and still it cuts off no matter what. I even took it to an area with no interference, yet still, the DJI Goggles RE lost range with the magic 2 zoom again at around 1km. Anyone with any solutions?

The issue is pointed to the fact the signal between the  aircraft and r/c is blocked by the goggles.

Exactly same problem - seems very common. Come on DJI please admit it’s a problem. I’m ‘happy’ to accept it if a firmware update will resolve this, otherwise do the right thing and offer money back.

Same problem here in NZ. If I try to take the drone over 100 ft with the goggles the videogoes blocky and the RC loses control of the aircraft.
Turn off the goggles and after  a few seconds control is restored and video restored.

Hi. Today 22/10/18 I just updated the RE goggles firmware using DJI assistant 2.02  from Vol-00.0600 to Vol -00.0700 which is supposed to be the latest.
Took it out for a fly. Over sea. No interference for miles.
Video started to get choppy at 250 ft and I lost manual control from the controller and the Screen froze in black and white.
When I turned off the Goggles everything came back to normal within a few seconds. Control regained and all ok up to 450 ft.
goggles are definitely  the problem.

Called and they had me factory reset by reupgrading it. Same results. I am on the phone again with them trying to see what the next step is for a resolution.

Can everyone post their country location and what smart device android / IOS they are using.

Occusync 2 uses both 2.4 and 5.8 for transmission of Video and RC control.

This looks similar to the Spark problem where it was switching to channels unavailable in the local country.

M2Z and M2P with Goggles (not the RE Goggles).
Both birds have latest FW, Goggles have latest FW.
Both have very limited range when using using goggles. As I understand it when using the goggles the AC only does 2.4GHz? Perhaps why the limited range?
When Goggles are turned off most of the time the range issue is resolved but I have experienced not being able to switch the channel back to "both". Restarting AC and RC "fixes" it till next time I want to use the Goggles.

Dear DJI, please do your best to resolve this. It's just not acceptable and completely mitigates any reason to own the Goggles at all.

I'm having similar issues here in the US. With Occusync 2 at 2.4ghz, I'm able to use the goggles but get lag at random. Occusync in auto, not good. Also constantly getting interference warning in the go app as well. Tried using Android app, IOS app and CS.

How is it possible that the r/c is block from goggles? You are holding the r/c and goggles on your head. There is nothing blocking. I think this has something to do with the transmission signal bumping to each other.

I have exactly the same issues with my M2Z and Goggle RE. Got in touch with DJI and they told me to return the goggle as it may be faulty to be replaced with a new one. The new replacement goggle arrived and guess what same problem!

Just to update. Took the RE Goggles and Mavic back to DJI Agent here. Ferntech Auckland . They tested it and found the same problem also with the Mavic pro Zoom. Seems like a firmware issue. Immediate problem can be solved by a workaround. Connect Goggles to R/C with USB but that is really not satisfactory.
They have notified DJI of the issue and hope to hear back from them soon as.

Strange,

I have been flying my Mavic 2 Pro and my Mavic 2 Zoom with RE goggles and have had no Issues. I am using a Crystal Sky UB as my smart device.

I assume that everyone is tuning off wifi and BT from their smartdevice when flying? and their applewatch series 3 and 4 if they have one.

Unfortunately, for many of us, buying a $1000 monitor to fix a $500 set of goggles is a step in the wrong direction, and undoable.

Question for the group,

Has anyone come up with a workaround to bypass the wireless connection on the RE Goggles and link it directly through the USB hub with a cable on the Mavic 2 Pro’s RC?

Pasted below is the reply from DJI in regards to connecting the RC to the Goggles RE directly with a cable… if they are wrong can someone else on here provide steps on exactly which ports and cable to use. Thanks

_______

Good day and thank you for contacting DJI Technical Support.

We appreciate the time and effort you spent in reaching us. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues using the DJI Goggles RE using wireless connection. We understand that you are asking for directions on how to connect your Mavic 2 Pro using an HDMI Cable.

With regard to connecting your Mavic 2 Pro to your DJI Goggles RE using an HDMI cable, I'm afraid to inform you that the HDMI connection between the DJI Goggle Re and the Mavic 2 Pro is not available. Currently the DJI Goggles RE can only be connected to the Mavic 2 thru wireless connection. We apologize for  any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Thank you and have a great day.
Best Regards,

Don

Since it might be a while (or never) in regards to DJI putting out a fix on the widespread M2P to Goggles RE range issue, I am looking for suggestions or a hack to connect / hard wire the RC to the M2P

I already tried connecting from the USB port on the bottom of the RC to the micro HDMI port on the Goggles RE with no success.

I am wide open to trying any ideas that anyone has here on how to hard wire the two together…

Thanks
