Just looking for some help with an issue. Beginning in early August when I would try to take off with the spark it would be very hoppy /jumpy.  I tried to search online and it seems that I'm not the only one with this issue.  There are many YouTube videos on it ( or ) .

I tried multiple things to fix it:
- IMU calibration
- cleaned the sensors
- tried taking off in three different locations

Last time I tried to take off resulted in a crash breaking the glass over the camera and two propeller blades.  I ended up sending it to DJI for repair and they are saying it's user error.  They are also saying I crashed at 71s but the flight time was 130s so not sure where they are getting this from.  Could someone take a look at the flight log and see if they also see the jumpiness of the spark?

I have seen several post about these bouncing Sparks. All the Admins ever post is to "Open a repair case".
Nothing is ever posted about what has been found to cause this problem.
How about it, Admins, provide us with some follow-up explanations for these problems.

I experienced several of these hoping issues when taking off.
But after flying for a bit and going higher it stops.
Now it stopped by itself altogether!

Fly safely all

When this started at about 40 sec. should you land ASAP and not keep flying.

That is your mistake (unless Spark refuses to land) - but still there is obviously something wrong with the AC (unless maybe the downward sensors were dirty).

Im trying to interpret the flight log. What at 40s demonstrates the hoppinesa started?

Both IMU and VPS altitude are going up-down-up-down...

It's like the bounce feature on the tello. Good luck with your situation mate.

Hi, thanks for sharing this concern with us. We do feel sorry about this. Since you mentioned that you already cleaned the sensors, the next thing to do is to calibrate the IMU which you already did base on your post. I'm taking it as you did first calibrated the IMU before cleaning the sensors. Anyways we will be seriously double checking this thru our engineers and see what we can do about this, but we strongly suggest if the issue still persists after the above troubleshooting mentioned, we strongly advice to create a repair ticket. Thank you.

I did create a repair ticket and I was told it was user error which I dont understand.

I have similar experience.  Currently with the local DJI service center . Will keep ya all posted.. i was unable to rectify using the software parameters though the jumpy issue  minimized drastically .

The downward sensors are defective and hence the front obstacle sensor also doesn't work ...  Irony is it doesn't p up on the DJI GO4 app as an error !!

did you try refreshing the firmware?

from sounds of it oscillating so hard it sounds like bad ESC or miscommunications between flight controller and ESCs.

a shame you cant calibrate the vision system on the little sparky, because that's another possibility is the downfiring camera is confused about something and needs a recal.

I'd refresh the FW and calibrate the IMU and compass. No harm as long as you do it properly and if it still persists your best bet is to ship it back

I have a feedback from DJI service center today.
The technician told me that he has never seen such an action from a drone where during landing the SPARK jumps up and down but   3 meter and above height it flies smoothly !! They have received DJI calibration software for the SPARK  from DJI headquarters for calibrating all the SPARK sensors . Hopefully they will give me a feedback by tommorrow.  None of the sensors are defective i guess !!

I experienced the same in that it would work fine above 3m.

Ok everyone.
Very interesting feedback from DJI authorized service center.  They have never seen such a case . They are unable to fix the issue.  I dont know what to do next.
