Mavic 2 batteries are hard-coded to start auto discharging after 10 days. There is no way to change that setting.

Hi there. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. You may set the battery discharge by going to your DJI Go 4 App >  Go to battery settings > On that page, you'll see the time to discharge and set it there. For reference, please see the attached image below. Should you have further question, please let us know. Thank you.

Rob, I think there is no option to change the discharge time on the Mavic 2. The screenshot above is from a different model and the DJI rep doesn't realize.

Let the batteries alone and they will start auto discharging down to the storage level after 10 days.

What was the benefit of changing the discharge time? I always left it at 10 days on my Mavic 1 and every time I planned to fly I checked the batteries and topped them off if they had discharged in the down time.

When you know that you are not going to fly for 10 days or more you can use the valuable energy for charging e.g. your mobile or other devices with the adapter that is included in the Fly More Kit. Or if you want to discharge them before 10 days (e.g. because you want to take them on a plane) you can do the same.

Thanks for this info. I’ve been trying to figure this out myself. Looking everywhere and had no luck. Now I’m satisfied in knowing that the option is not there and they will discharge on their own.

What's the point of the auto discharge? Seems like a cheesy way of making customers run through a limited number of charge cycles more quickly.

According to the battery manual, if they are kept at a very high or very low charge for a prolonged period the battery cells can become damaged.

I believe this is the reason for the auto-discharge.
