Looking for a dedicated device (phone or tablet) to use with my spark RC. I currently use an iPhone 7 Plus, but it’s my main phone. Last time I used it, I forgot to take it out of airplane mode and missed a few calls from the wife. Let’s just say I was put in the dog house.

So what’s everyone using?

9.7" iPad 5th gen. Works great.

iPad Air,, works great with the big screen.. (plus OTG),

iPad mini 2. Still big screen but also fits exactly between the arms.

Iphone 6. On ios 9, still got good battery life....oh and jailbreak helps me downgrade apps, when finding out we are beta testers for dji, parrot, whoever develops theese crappy aps .

I did look through that list, but for instance the iPad Air is listed as only compatible with DJI GO3 (the yellow dot). There are also a lot of Android tablets that have no dots next to them. Maybe I’m just not reading it right.

Wow! Your using iOS 9. That thing still runs apps? Well I guess if it’s jail broken you’re probably ok.

The devices with the dots are the devices DJI currently supports. Many of the older devices only work well with DJI GO 3. It's less resource intensive than DJI GO 4.

So the the devices without green dots may run DJIGO 4 but it may not be a great experience? It seems like a crapshoot finding an Android tablet that will run the GO 4 well. I appreciate the info!

The devices with green dots are the devices DJI currently supports for DJI GO 4.  If it's important to you to only use a device that's supported by DJI, then use one of the green dot devices. If that's not important, then choose a device that's on the higher end CPU and RAM-wise. If you buy the absolute cheapest device you can find, you will likely not be happy with the performance.

1 loose jailbreak an benefits,,
2 it will drain battery fast and be lagging like hxxx.
Apple update their devices and makes them slower, so you must spwnd 1500 dollars on the lates model...hexx no

Oh ok, makes sense, I usually use my ipod and in my personal opinion, the mounts make the remote clunky. thanks

Just picked up this Asus Zen Pad 8 and this tablet holder.

If it turns out bad, I’ll give it to my son and continue searching. It’s on the list that Phantom Help has with a couple likes so we’ll see how it works.

No, not at all. App responds very good. I use it with OTG.

I tried the tablet mount, didn't like it.  I now use an iPad mini4.. fits in the controler arms and has a big screen.
