Actually that's not an unknown, have you verified S1000 A3 Pro LB2 with Z30 & XT2? I realize the DJI web site indicates only the XTR with the X5 Gimbal for the Matrice 600 Pro. When using the Z30 Gimbal, the XT2 does work with Matrice 600 Pro and the M600Pro is a A3 Pro LB2 electronics. The XT2 works within the DJI app and is fully controllable as normal and video stream within the Screen as normal. The Matrice 600 Pro is a A3 Pro LB2 unit and the installed A3 Pro LB2 isn't modified for the M600Pro, you can move any A3 Pro LB2 component from an M600Pro to S1000 A3 Pro LB2 unit or the S1000 to the M600Pro, I've done this when trouble shooting a M600Pro A3 Pro with a failed GPS Compass issue. It's not the M600Pro FW that accepts the XT2, it's the A3 Pro LB2 FW. Logically, what's electronic on the M600Pro that's not within the A3 Pro LB2 electronics? There isn't additional electronics bewteen the Gimbal & A3 Pro LB2, the additional electrical layer is power & power interface. I'd assume the M600Pro FW uses the same programing code as the A3 Pro LB2 with the additional code for the power interface for battery & ESC operations. The only reason a seperate A3 Pro LB2 would not support the same devices as the M600Pro would be if the FW was "specfically written to exclude" since the power interface layer isn't part of the gimbal & camera logic. Since the Z30 camera does run on a S1000 A3 Pro LB2 build, that indicates the FW didn't exclude the Z30 camera and indicates when M600Pro FW is updated to include the Z30 camera, the A3 & LB2 FW apparently gets updated indicating it may be the same code module under the covers.
Will it work on a S1000 using the same electronics, that I'm not 100% sure... Yes it's seperate A3 Pro LB2, but DJI also stated it wouldn't work with M600Pro until someone tested it and reported back to DJI. The DJI App runs and recognized the seperate A3 Pro LB2 on the S1000; the Z30 camera was indicated as not compatible with the S1000 "seperate" A3 Pro LB2 and it runs on a S1000 A3Pro LB2 in the same manor as on the M600Pro, so I'd assume if the XT2 is supported within M600Pro A3 Pro LB2 coding, it "may" work with the S1000 A3 Pro LB2 in a similar fashion; It'll need to be tested to verify.
The issue isn't fitment or the A3, the issue is that the Mount, on certain series cameras or the S Series for example the X5s, for inspire2, is different the the X series, and the reason for this is that certain Craft, like Inspire 2, has it's image processor built into the Inspire 2, so I'm not sure where the info that the A3 is the Issue, anything that the M600 does, can be done with a DIY A3 setup, it's the exact same setup, the only thing different "electronics wise" on a DIY s1000 or S900 to an M600 is, how the battery information is uses, Which is handled through the Power Distribution board on the M600, in essence, it uses an SMBUS, Making the M600 6s Batteries into a 34,200mah craft. Hopefully, DJI releases the necessary cables to use smart cells for DIY.
This is direct from the spec page.
