Hi
Had problems with one battery on my M600 But this would probably work on all DJI Lipos
Got red battery cell error and battery cell broken so i could not fly with this battery set...
When checking the cells on one of the batterys it was badly balanced >0,1V from the other cells
How to check single cells
1. Go to settings in the upper right corner and click on battery icon
2. Click on one battery
3. Check that the cells are within 0,1V
This battery is ok but check all 6 batterys
Tried to leave the drone on until discharged and recharged the lipos but same fault.
No warranty left so I have to fix this instead of buying a new expensive battery
Solution
Balance the lipo with your normal lipo charger.
NOTE!
This is only for you that are familiar with Lipo charging, chrimping contacts and soldering DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
1. Take away the plastic top of the battery with 6 pieces of plastic (cut out of some plastic lids for food storage)
Insert plastic pieces on all 6 locking points
2. Carefully remove top part
3. Unscrew 4 screws
4. Remove the Molex Picoblade (think its called so..)
5. Make an adapter cable JST XH 7 pin (robbed an old lipo balance plug) to a Molex picoblade 7 pin
NOTE cell one on dji lipo is the red side
6. To bypass the DJI electronics to get live power on the battery charging contacts I just carefully put a crocodile clamp through the two solder points at the pic below
7. Make a charging cable from an old deans male contact cut in half and a suitable XT60 or other that will fit your charger
8. Connect to battery as in the picture
10. Balance charge and make a few cycles until lipo is ok
Hi, Thanks for sharing this tips, however, this should be done by professional due to may lead to battery combustion. Please be careful on this scenario. Thank you for the support.

Hi
Agree! Thats what I tried to say in this phrase in my topic above.

So there is no self-destruction feature on the battery PCB, that would tell the drone that the battery was disassembled and is no longer able to be used ? That's good news ! Because some batteries have a software fuse that prevent the battery from being used if the cells are disconnected from the PCB.
Also, do you think that would be feasible to replace those cells with a different, higher capacity model ? (thinking 21700 for example)
I started to have similar problem. but my misbalance started at 117cycle... and my misbalance is very big :/ like - cell 1 - 3.7, cell 2- 3.2, cell3- 4.1, cell4-3.7. thats on phantom 4 drone :/ dont have external balancer... dont know what to do... deep discahrge dont help... when I charge with DJI charger after hour it gives overvoltage protection LED blinking...
I have mav pro 12 charges cell drop out if warranty by 6 months just a too bad too sad from DJI. Read around found common fault spend 1800 on something you used 12 times and it’s broken pretty poor form I reckon customer service was well below par
Hi ...i made another battery for spark drone and it starts with the battery but shows battery signal error ....please some one tell me what should i do?
