Is there a right or proper way on how to best to download files from the Mavic 2.  I tried downloading directly through the supplied USB 3.0 Type C cable, and found that the drone needs to be on for the transfer to work.  Is this the way downloading from the Mavic 2 is suppose to work ?. Just uncomforatble firing up the drone indoors.  Also not sure if the cables need to be in place before turning the drone on.  Any thoughts or suggestions - Thanks

Thanks, I thought that might be the better option, but the problem is the risk of breaking the cap over the input slot. and also the wear and tear of the socket. Looks like its either one or the other.

Either way works.  If you are concerned about the SD card door breaking, then use USB-C connector. I personally remove the SD card and download them to my iMac.

i would have to agree with most of the comments above, i do the same, i remove the micro SD card, insert in adaptor and download directly from the card to the iMac. fast and convenient!

It happens.  . Since you don’t like powering on the drone indoors, it may be best to just take out the SD card.

Thank you for reaching DJI forum. I agree on post #2, it would be fast and easy way
to take the SD card out from the AC and download it directly to the computer.
