for some odd reason my lightbridge dosent work with the atmos ninja star pro res recorder.
i've tried the lightbridge with many sorts of connections and its always good, but with the ninja star the image is just black.
i've connected all hdmi's good but no image.
has anyone tried this combination? any tips?

maybe your video recorder does not support EDID. This is needed for the Lightbridge to work (unless any new updates have fixed this) . try checking for updates if you have not already

I do not have the Star but I have been using the Blade for almost 2 months.  It has worked since about 3 upgrades ago if I remember correctly.  The Lightbridge is sensitive to the HDMI cable and wants a quality high speed data cable.  I have not touched the Blade firmware.  Do you have video out from the USB to a device?  If so, have you connected to another HDMI monitor?  Did that work?  Make sure that you have the video source set to the correct device either HDMI/AV or HD Gimbal.  There are only three HD gimbals, BMPCC, GH4 and 5D.
