That is a feature I haven't known before and I'm wondering what it's good for.
Is it so we can inspect our front propellers during flight? ;-)

Yes - pan 90° left/right, tilt up/down.
It seems to be an 'Android Only' feature.

On the iPad I only get this when swiping the screen:

This is amazing in two ways for me.

1) It shows how much the drone rolls and pitches, and
2) It shows just how responsive and stable the gimbal is.

You can definitely do this on iOS devices too (at least I can on my iPhone 6s).  Simply hold one finger down on your screen and slowly drag in any direction. I don't think this is mentioned in the manual.

You are right - it also works on my iPad now.
It looks like it needs an instant longer pressing the screen...
