I've hit 2 miles (CE) and still had 2-3 bars of signal left before turning around - it's easy to reach those distances when cruising in A-mode - @ 60MPH it only takes two minutes to reach 2 miles!

3.5KM/2.18 miles (officially) in CE areas and 5KM/3.1 miles in FCC. It uses HD lightbridge so the same as the P4 series. I get a really clear signal with this. I flew it a mile away whilst I was stood behind a tree line and had no glitches in the live feed.

Yeah - lightbridge is mainly for broadcasting and ocusync for FPV - which will have a better latency and range. I'm sure I could go further than 3.5KM in the right area though

Hahahaha - I do get a little nervous when I can't see it TBH - it weighs over 3KG (more than two P4's) airborne and reaching speeds of >70MPH it would be a bad day if it hit someone! It's 2.25 feet wide from the tip of each prop - massive drone!

That is big, and the weight, I would die carrying that around, i used to complain about the Phantom weight so much

add 4 batteries at over 600g each plus the camera, RC and the other bits and pieces with the case - over 10KG in your hand mate! Worth the effort though.

It isn't exactly portable - put it that way I normally just drive up to a park though and walk across a field then set up. I've never been one to hike for miles so it works for me.
