Its been almost 4 months without any updates to the Mavic air. I was hoping that DJI would add the way points feature which was originally announced but later removed for the mavic air. Please DJI, fix the problems in .400 and add way points feature to the Mavic air.

No they haven't abandoned it at all. A firmware update will come for sure and I have the feeling that this will be in the near future. If waypoints will be added in the next version I am less sure, we shall see.

Works any DJI Engineer on a new Mavic Air Firmware
and in a future Time we get an bug fixed Drone ?

They don't abandon products - just prioritise them I guess.

There may be a Parrot, Xiaomi, Yuneec, AeroVironment, or Autel drone in your future.
If you got big bucks, then possibly a Boeing or Lockheed Martin drone.  

nothing blocking your aircraft from running a waypoint mission, just cant use dji app at the moment to run it.  have to use an app like litchi.

however this being said, need to stay connected while running those waypoint missions, cant walk off and drops connection and have it finish the mission itself because mavic air  does not support uploading those missions to it internally just yet.  maybe in the future. but not now..

oh that's good then!  i guess dji has really fixed that part of the SDK since i last used litchi which was a while ago..

I also feel they left this drone without more support :/
- no fixes for gps coords on pictures, no fixes on camera disortions, no solution to mysterious and freakin unsafe disconnetcs  :/

this just show - it's all about hyped sales of new product, not carry about "old"? (using old on purpose - it's this year drone... that just left to die) product
with this logic/strategy, mavic 2 will get dumped too (before x-mas?) when it will be close to P5 showoff
so I'm prettty dissapointed with DJI atm and for sure won't invest in any product as long they won't change support policy

All DJI admins must be studying politics as they are just as vague and do not directly answer the questions , to be fair though i doubt they know much more than us, I think the MA is a great little drone I traded up from a spark as it has all the  benefits of a larger drone but can still be used indoor like a spark.

I reckon they have been focusing on the M2 so the MA will have taken a back seat on dev, would be nice to see an update to address all the issues one of mine pet hates is no camera forward down function on a P button!

Everyone has given up on the Mavic Air.

The thing about FW updates has been while they will fix some stuff for some, you then have some who complain that it breaks stuff for them, let’s hope that if and when FW comes it makes a difference for everyone.

I guess they have been ocupied with Mavic 2, so there was no resources for Air. Fingers crossed they have some developers now on working on Air firmware now...

It's pretty obvious that yes, they have abandoned this aircraft.  It's a shame.

Maybe took awhile, but not abandoned.

You can find this under the Mavic Air Page on DJI website. Look for the downloads section and you should see a section with Release notes dated 9/26/2018

Well spotted, hopefully this release will resolve the problems seen by some.

IF they telease firmware update there must be tap to silence air & controller super too high volume BEEping sounds.

One interesting bit in the notes that some might miss:-

Notes:
 Make sure you update the DJI GO 4 app to the latest 4.3.0 version or higher before updating the firmware.

Not being able to silence the beeping on RTH is stupid, and probably so easy to fix.
Also no new features, just fixes that i have not had any problems with.

The same was in the release notes of the .400 firmware update stipulating to only use the then up to date GO 4 version for making the update and there is some reason to believe that a number of users had overlooked or not seen at all this before updating. Thus it cannot be excluded that certain problems experienced by only few might have been related to that.
