Recently purchased the Mavic 2 after a buddy wrecked my Mavic Pro.

I am having issues connecting to my RC. I have reset my ios and flashed my phone after seeing this work for other people. No dice. I have also deleted and redownloaded Go4 and still nothing. I have tried multiple Apple issued cables. When I boot up the RC with an apple cable, I get the power icon by my phone's battery meter but nothing shows on it. Absolutely nothing allows the app to connect to the controller while previously the phone worked great on my Mavic Pro. I don't have access to another phone to test on my controller as I am working upwards of 80hrs a week and just don't have time to break away from set to diagnose this. Anyone have any advice? I really don't know what's up and would like to get this thing in the air.

Did you register online and passed the test?

I have, but that shouldn't affect the connection to the rc

I had a similar issue with the iphone 6s+ but with the Mavic Pro after the update to ios 12 and the new Dji Go4 update. My fix was really easy, knowing the the more the Go4 app updates the bigger the app actually gets to add on more features for other drones, all out iphones generally do an automatic back up either to icloud or our pc when we connect them up unless you have disabled this, I simply connect my phone to the pc and do a complete restore back to a time when i know that the Go4 was stable to use with my iphone 6s+, I went from the newest version of Go4 to Go4 4.2.12

That’s the problem I think. Your phone can’t handle 4.3.2

The iPhone 6s is fully supported for use with the Mavic 2 series and is powerful enough.


Regarding the connection issue - if you still have the control for your old Mavic Pro, does that connect ok, you should see 'aircraft disconnected' ?

My 6s plus works very well with iOS 12 & DJI Go 4 V4.3.2

Then it must be “that” devices issue in particular.
Can you try on a completely different good phone?
In order to isolate if it’s the phones issue or the drones issue.

That's what I'm thinking maybe. I went and bought an iPhone 7 today. Currently restoring it so hopefully it will run with the M2

Sometimes switching off the video cache in the app and turning off all other apps in the background helps.

Welp. Must've been the phone. My new iphone 7 booted up immediately. Thanks for the help, guys.

It seems that this is because compatibility issue between iPhone and the app. Maybe you can update both the iPhone verison and the app. If no luck, you can resort to an ios repair tool like Joyoshare UltFix (https://www.joyoshare.com/ultfix/) to fix your iPhone without data loss.
