Fly safely?! Is a joke, no? Because what you have done is totally illegal: 1. Fly over urban areas, buildings or people 2. Fly more than 120m in height 3. Fly in Barcelona, an area where drone flight is totally prohibited

Whatever you say, I asked police officers before I could launch from a hill!!!! I was in no time over any people! I was flying over a bloody mountain!! Not over buildings!!! I was 120 meters at most from the mountain that I launched! So it’s not illegal! Whatever you say, I repeat I consulted the police officers before I could launch from a MOUNTAIN, And they said no problem, as long as your not flying over people, WHICH I WAS NOT!!!
So I did fly safely and I always do!!!

Yes, look at the bottom left corner, DO YOU SEE A HILL THERE? Well that’s the mountain that I launched the drone from. AND ALL THE TIME THE DRONE  WAS LIKE 10/20 meters away from me!!!

I just told you that I consulted the POLICE before launching from the mountain and I WAS ALWAYS STAYING OVER THAT MOUNTAIN!!!
SO IN MY BOOK, EVERYTHING WAS 100% legal here.
Ok, let’s see what others think about this!

AND ACCORDING TO THE LAW, ITS THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES THAT PUT THE LAWS REGARDING DRONE USE.
SO IF THE POLICE THERE ON THE SITE, TOLD ME ITS OK, THEN IT IS BLOODY OK!!!!

Ignore, some people just take the fun out of everything. Nothing happened and i don't it was illegal either. thanks and I hope you don't have to deal with more idiots......

I also fly in Castelldefels, which according to the map you presented is also illegal!!!
But there are many people launching drones there, I just came back and there was a guy launching a Xiaomi mi drone there, THE POLICE WERE 50 meters away, they saw everything and 0 problems.
Also before that I also consulted the Castelldefels police if I can launch the drone on the beach over the sea, AND THEY SAID YES OFCOURSE NO PROBLEM, JUST DONT  FLY OVER PEOPLE!!!

In the end, I am a responsible person and a responsible drone flyer!!!
I always consult the local authorities if I can launch the drone there! And that law is above all else!!!
Aurelian, if I were you, I would ask first and consult,
Without jumping to conclusions when you are not aware of all the details!!
Please don’t offend people like that!!!

I tell you what the air safety law says, I do not tell you because I am a police officer, and it does not bother me either. There are many policemen who have no idea about drones, but if someone denounces you, you could have problems. I repeat, I tell you just to inform you, nothing more.

I think that the only way that somebody would denounce you,
Is if 1. You injure someone
2. You take their pictures and videos when being told don’t do that.
3. You fly over their property and molest them.
4. You damage their property
I wasn’t doing any of that!
And if the police tells me it’s ok to fly, then I fly.
And if something, the police told me it’s ok, so they are the ones responsible,
Remember it’s the local authorities that have the upper hand above anyone and anything when it’s regarding drones!!!

Nice, for me I dont see why I'm restricted to 90m when the CN tower is about 10km away and its height is 567m or so. anyway, rant over, nice video and keep going. thanks

Well if you could fly over the tower, then it’s 567 + 90
On DJI drone you won’t be even able to reach the top of the tower ;)

Yep, it was pretty high
But it was always at most 120 meters from the launch point at the mountain,
And I always stayed only over that mountain ;)

And just so you know Aurelian. Like more than a month ago I was confronted by police and a crazy lady in Badalona, which again according to your map is illegal!

Well the footage ended up in AESA, and what do you know?
THEY DID NOT FINE ME!!!
So it’s not as bare bones as your map puts it!!!
There always are exceptions in cases. And I think if the police on site, tells you it’s ok to fly,
Then that is one of those exceptions!

And they are flying IN THE CITY!! Which I in no moment was!!!

There’s a video of Sagrada Familia man!!! Now that is super sketchy to film and I wouldn’t even try that or asking the police there if I can fly  my drone
Because I think the reply is quiete obvious that time ;)

Also just to tell you, I fly my spark in local parks in Barcelona all the time no problem.
Sometimes the police comes and just watches me fly, then asks some questions regarding the drone and leaves in peace!
So the map that Aurelian presented is not 100% accurate and there always are exceptions to flying the drone in so called prohibited to fly areas.

Yes, you always have to keep the maximum allowed altitude to your country’s limit, in your case it’s 90 meters in my case it’s 120 meters and in a case in Russia - no limit!!! but I always fly responsible in Russia also, no matter if there aren’t any limiting laws in place yet.
And in this case I was always flying over the mountain, so I didn’t break the rule,
It’s a completely different case if I would have flown over the buildings in the distance,
That way you are much higher than 120 meters from the ground! So I stayed put on the mountain, as the cops allowed me to fly also only over the mountain and not going higher than 120 meters ;)
