If you haven't checked out the newest Point of Interest 2.0 in the Mavic 2 (Pro & Zoom) you might be missing out.  POI 2.0 is better than ever and 'VISION Point of Interest' is exactly what was missing from the original Point of Interest (1.0).  So much easier to use and saves time and battery setting up the shot.

Absolutely!  I'm sure this newest feature (Point of Interest 2.0) will get a lot more use than it's predecessor POI 1.0.     

Looks like an impressive feature not having to line up directly above the subject.

I still like litchie. Can setup the poi/waypoints offline before you get there.

I hear ya.  I prefer to minimize using different applications/software as possible when flying.  Based on my own personal experiences, the more software I use the more often I have an issue with compatibilty or updates or who know.  Just one more link in the chain that could break or cause issues and then need to troubleshoot.  

Though I know many love using their litchie app.   Just not something i personally use.   

Nice, but is this really not available on the original Mavic Pro and Pro Platinum? Maybe we'll see it on those birds soon with a firmware update.

I believe your correct.  I don't own the Mavic Pro or Mavic Platinum.  Though, I believe this "Point of Interest 2.0" is something new ONLY to the Mavic 2 (Pro & Zoom) at this time.  I know it does NOT exists within the Mavic Air or SPARK, both of which I do own.

Seems like this would be an easy software update DJI could do for their other drones to support as well.  Hopefully, they implement for everyone as it's so much easier to use than the original POI 1.0 .

Agree!  In my opinion that was the biggest issue with POI 1.0.  Not having to line-up above the subject is a huge improvement.  I'll be using this so much more now.  

Now if we could just get WAYPOINTS 2.0...

Yeah, I suspected it was specific to the Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom release.  Thanks for verifying though!

POI 2.0 is great BUT the one thing i miss is it telling you how long each orbit will take (which helps a lot when trying to get a clip of a specific length).

Good point.  Because i like using 'speed-ramping' for this shot I'm less concerned about the time it takes to circle.  But certainly, would be nice to have.  Especially on those bigger objects when it can take several minutes to fully circle.   Of course, than you start wondering about if you'll complete the shot before the battery runs low or you have to land.

Yes, the newer POI (VISION POI) works a lot like the ActiveTrack.
