you got a pretty good runtime, i usually got 20-22 minutes of hover time on my mavic pro 1st gen.

usually they dont rate the drone's battery runtime with hovering though.. they use a complicated method of certain constant forward speed without any wind... not entirely sure the purpose of it, but im not a drone engineer.

I hear you.
I think so too, min and half short is not bad. But again, I was hovering down to 1% on the battery and after 10% it was battle keeping it in the air, it was not hover, it was me keep overriding auto landing and holding stick up.
So if DJI calls this hovering I am sorry....
In reality you are right, hovering to 10% alarm is actually 20-22 min.

Put into pitch at around 15MPH in a constant circle in very, very light winds and you'll get half an hour! The MPP had the best flight time of any drone I've owned.

I guess that is going to be my next test.
But again, DJI, PLEASE pitch in, when do you land? Are you running that battery to zero to get that 30 min and 27 min hover?

From my own experience you'll need to take it right down to 1% to get 30 mins... I typically averaged 24-27 mins landing on 15% (which I recommend).
