I am going to save all the flight records on my network drive. but I can see the DJI folder on my Note 8 getting pretty big, Should I just back up items or is it safe to delete? I am bucking over 3gb in the folder.

Thank you for reaching DJI forum. May I know what is the name of the folder? We always recommend you to sync your flight records and back all your files  before you reinstall the APP. Once the app is deleted, all the files saved on the APP will be deleted permanently.

Might be video and image cache, IIRC there's an option to clear this out.

Also check offline maps
