Hi, no error message. it was windy but not eccessively at that time. I did received a high wind warning on the 2nd battery and I landed as prompted.

I find that issue annoying. That must be a bug. It makes no sense to me:

It’s normal , just remember to re centre when shooting or make allowances if filming in sport mode.

Mine does the same, and ive also been addressing it, without any response from DJI.
This makes any shot UNUSABLE.

It is NOT normal, or its not suppose to work like this.
DJI, you need to fix this, cause it ruins every single shot, and makes the video unusable.
It happens in both P and S mode, regardless of wind conditions, even in calm weather.

Time for a fw update, i also patiently waiting for the promised track archive feature...

Mine only does it in sport as well, but my shots are still usable because when it happens, I adjust the gimbal to where I want it.

As long as this is normal, I am fine with it. I can still work with that horizon line. Many thanks for the feedback!

You're welcome. I just always chalked it up to the additional g-forces the gimbal is experiencing. I suspect that an adjustment could be made to the settings of the gimbal (via the firmware, not user settings) that would more fully support the gimbal.

What happens is that the mavic drastically changes its maximum angle in sports mode, from say 10 degrees to 40 degrees or so. The camera can only look up 30degrees, so it can not continue to look straight and has to tilt down a bit. This is increased with wind from the front because the mavic has to "lean" more into the wind, and decreased with wind from the back, because it doesn't need to lean forwards so much to go fast.

This is also the reason why the mavic can drift away in wind instead of fighting harder to stay - it limits its own angle so it will ALWAYS have free movement of the camera at least up to horizon level. It will not be able to lean enough against the wind to come back in those situations.
If you put it in sports mode, it "allows itself" to lean more and happily flies against the wind, and it can do that even without drastically altering the propeller speed, but just by the angle.
The mavic 1 had the same issue/feature...

I tell you again its not normal, the gimbal should follow the attitude of the drone, regardless of wind conditions.
This happens during the acceleration phase, and needs to be tuned in the software.

As I said it happens also in normal mode with a lot of wind, when it happened to me, the angle of inclination of the drone was high. I got the message "Excessive attitude angle detected", so it can also happen in normal mode if the conditions are very windy. It depends on the tilt and the adjustment made by the gimbal
