Dear all,

first time I try asteroid mode. All ok but what's causing those green/pink artifact on the footage? The image is a frame grabbed from FCPX.

Those are weird.
I zoomed in really close but couldn't figure what caused them. Thought maybe a reflection of some sort. Did you have any ND filter installed?

Hopefully one of the forum contributors who is more in to photography can help.

Watched the video about a dozen times . Noticed the anomaly makes an oblong circle.
I agree with Amjad 1983, another Asteroid should be tried again and see if it is a one time occurrence or a defect in the camera/software or SD card.

I'm pretty sure it's a lens flare, that's what it looks like when the sun is just out of frame. If you saved the unstitched pano images, I bet at least one of them has a big purple lens flare in it. The weird shapes are caused by the stitching algorithm cutting and pasting different sections of the images together to make the pano.

I'm sorry for the late response. But I haven't had time to try asteroid again.

Tried it one hour ago and all went ok. No artifacts, no pink or green area in the final .mov.

One thing: why does it put the camera in auto mode? Asteroid only work in AUTO and 1080/30p...
