I am currently using an iPhone with the mavic 2 zoom and I'd like to swith to the iPad.  What iPad mount do folks prefer?

Which size iPad? I switched to an iPad Pro 10.5 (from using a phone) and use the Mavmount. It’s solid and does the job, but sitting it down makes it fall over towards antennas. It’s not balanced like in his video, but it also doesn’t come undone like the plastic ones.

Mav Mounts are apparently really good

Tried the recommended cable and it wasn’t long enough! So that one above is what I now use and is better anyway with the 90 degree lightning connector. It also has a nice click to it when it is connected.

The Mavmount is the best, but I still find I have to be gentle whilst handling the R/C & iPad in my hand. It’s definitely not as mobile as using a phone. It sure is nice seeing everything clear & big though. The 10.5 is a better experience than the 5.5 CrystalSky because the iPad screen has superior anti glare. The CrystalSky reflects like a mirror, thereby negating the extra brightness.

i meant to tell you i went with your advice and it works perfectly (both the cord and mount).  very solid, versatile, and compact able.  thanks for the tip.

Good to hear. You see what I mean by it being a little cumbersome? You can’t twist & quickly move the R/C around in your hands. And using just 1 hand is sketchy for even just a brief moment - it’s a lot of side force on only 1 “handle.”

It’s moot though once you use that beautiful, bright, BIG display to operate the Mavic. You can REALLY see the difference in HD and Normal transmission, also.

Mavmount and a hoodman sunshade is an excellent combination.
