I am still in my return policy. Debating on returning the googles due to the poor range with my m2z any thoughts? I know people claim fhat they will fix it with a firmware update but that is an expensive gamble...

If you are not happy with the performance then I would return them and maybe purchase them once they function as you would like them to.

I guess the question is more if you think they will be fixed....

I was having the same issue with goggle RE. Got in touch with DJi, provided them videos of two flights, one with the goggle RE connected and one without. With the goggle RE connected, i kept getting disconnected error messages or poor signal messages. Without the goggle RE, everything seems fine. DJi told me that the goggle is faulty and will have it replaced. I hope its true, can't wait to test it with the replacement goggle RE.

I'm having the same problem. Going to contact DJI help desk tomorrow (online support are useless). Can you let me know if you have the same problem with the new set?

Will update when I get the replacement and test it. I really hope it works.

Thanks.

I phoned DJI and they suggested I try in a different location (despite already trying in two different locations already). I was sceptical but actually my test earlier today showed the range with the Goggles was the same as without them. About 2km in the area that I was in which was was surrounded by trees. In fact if anything the range was a little more with the Goggles on. I'm gong to do a few more tests but it looks like it was interference from other signals.

Question for the group,

Has anyone come up with a workaround to bypass the wireless connection on the RE Goggles and link it directly through the USB hub with a cable on the Mavic 2 Pro’s RC?

Have you had a chance to test the new Goggles? Was just curious as I have the same issues?

Yes, tested out the new goggles and still the same problem.

That’s what I figured. Wishful thinking that maybe I received a disfunctional pair of goggles myself.
Thank you for the response.
DJI....... hurry up and fix this or refund our money please

I have kind of given up. I suspect that it is a firmware issue. Hope they have a fix soon. Really regretted giving up my Mavic Pro and white goggles for this!

That's the one thing I will not do, is get rid of my MP.
My MP is battle tested and reliable. The new MP2/Z  will have to earn it's wings first. I like flying with my REs so I
will wait till the problem has been resolved before buying.

You are absolutely right and it is a lesson learned for me. Will wait and look out for feedback before I buy my next DJI product. Totally disappointing that the new product performs worse than the model it replaces.

Since it might be a while (or never) in regards to DJI putting out a fix on the widespread M2P to Goggles RE range issue, I am looking for suggestions or a hack to connect / hard wire the RC to the M2P

I already tried connecting from the USB port on the bottom of the RC to the micro HDMI port on the Goggles RE with no success.

I am wide open to trying any ideas that anyone has here on how to hard wire the two together…

Thanks

I have not solved it, I am hoping somebody else on here can offer suggestions on how to directly wire the Mavic 2 Pro RC to the Goggles.

Question for the group.

After many months of nudging DJI to address the range issue with the Goggle RE and Mavic 2 Pro, they have just asked me to send them back the unit so they can “replace the core board” *See attached email.

My question is this, before I send these Goggles all the way back to China, has anyone on here seen or know of anyone who owns a pair of the Goggles RE and Mavic 2 Pro who have not had an issue? Because it appears to me that everyone with this combo has the same exact issue, just wondering that if it’s a design flaw then sending them back would just be a waste of time.

Thanks

The problems seems to be related with the 5.8Ghz frequency. I managed to workaround this problem by changing the frequency from dual to be fixed in 2,4Ghz each time I turn on M2P. I hope this can help you.
**I am still in contact with DJI support, but despite of more than 20 e-mails that we exchanged, there is no solution so far.

Tried your suggestion. It is a bit better but still a far cry from the normal goggle paired with Mavic Pro.
