they forgot to write one part about how drones are used ...

Have you watched the movie "Eye in the Sky" ...........

Being involved with supply to military in various areas ... I can say that 'Eye in the Sky' reflects quite well the serious decision making that goes into using these weapons. Yes I agree that some incidents of less than 'ideal' have occurred, but that can be said of any weapon.

You think that Patriot missiles were all about taking out Scuds and other airborne items ?? The Patriot missile in GW1 killed more people on the ground itself than it ever saved by taking out the few Scuds it happened to actually hit ... yes - they missed more than they hit !!

War is grotesque. Today we have instant media coverage of what is kill or be killed.

Sorry to be blunt ... but videos such as this anti Drone one are too simplistic, ignore the real facts and are designed to shock.

There are many mounted stabilised camera systems long before DJI got on the 'bus' ... that bike mount is not DJI invention at all.

Sorry to burst that bubble ...

Many great uses indeed. Sadly, as ever, the compilations miss one important one (at least to me) out. That is there use to help disabled folk. Little attention is paid to their use in everything from helping injured Veterans to give FPV sky rides. So just my usual plea here, don' forget disabled folk.

Since 1961 or thereabouts, I've been trying to get a longwire high enough off the ground without much success, so yes, the drone made the impossible happen. I could shoot 1000 arrows up into a tree and not get the perfect branch. With the P4P, looking down, I had total control over which branch gave me the most height and was clear of other foliage and then I just hit the button and watched the WD-40 can with the rock attached as extra weight, drop, pulling the nylon cord with it. From there, just attached a strong poly rope and then a 14awg copper wire and pulled it up. Reception with a large vertical is amazing. Rejects man made electrical noise very well because power lines are horizontal and the antenna is vertical, so the cross polarization makes for about 20dB reduction in noise. I can hear stations on the vertical that are not even detectable on the old horizontal end fed. And on 160m it really shines. Stations that are inaudible on the old antenna are S9+ on the vertical.

Every week or so, I go up on my roof and launch the P4P headed due north to see how the construction is progressing. A remote eye in the sky.. Back in the 1950s, I never even dreamed of such a device! Back then, a dream to me would be a version of my Bolex H-8 that could record sound. :-)

Cloud 9? Nah, I'm staying below 400'.

Strangely enough for me, there is only one radio station that even matters.
You can become an avid listener too. See http://ckua.com nothing more needs to be said.

But you know me, love the chatter, so anyways. Yes, CKUA is Canada’s oldest public broadcaster, Since 1927. From right here in My home town. Love it so much. Here’s the main thrill for me, they play a lot of new music, new artists, plenty of unheard stuff.
FF5CF731-8A31-4068-ADAD-545117FAC840.jpeg
My favorite music in general, is stuff I never heard before, all though I’m the biggest fan of Frank Zappa and his variety.
If someone were to ask me what kind of music I like or who my favorite artists are, it’s simple.

I haven’t heard them, or the latest realeases of many who are still under the radar, as of yet...

It’s a predominantly publicly funded affair, so is very much loved by all who are aware of this shiny rare little gem.

Enjoy it, forever.

Some professional concert footage seems to have several scenes that appear to be taken with drones.
Celebrating Jon Lord. The Rock Legend. “Burn”

Not sure where I watched this before, but I sure loved the wonderfully talented band.
Yeah, & particularly thee great innovative keyboard playing.
Sorry, to bore others, but I really love these songs, and enjoy the photography that went into making these videos.

Yeah, I can say that I love these wonderful musicians and tunes of my youth, great  Songs. . .
Deep Purple, Hush

I stopped listening to FM radio when the Schulke format died. That was about 1982. When I retired from contract engineering 7 years ago, I no longer needed my elaborate FM tuners to monitor stations I worked for. There is nothing on the radio today that I would listen to. I have my Japanese CD collection of over 800 discs to listen to now.

Yup, I know all those bands, and in fact broadcast their albums when I still had a pirate FM station in the 1990s during afternoon drives.

Two years ago, I discovered Eufonius, a really sweet sounding band

I discovered FLUMPOOL when watching the Ajin TV series

Garnet Crow was another band I recently discovered

I found this obscure anime about two high school kids who were living in a hospital with terminal illnessed, English translation of the title was "Looking up at the Half Moon", and loved the soundtrack. Well recorded, and I love to crank it on the 20,000-watt sound system til the ribs are cracking

I also listen to soundtrack music which is orchestral.

The Macross soundtrack was my first experience with Japanese BGM. I remember buying this LP record at a anime convention in New York City in 1987 and the anticipation of what was on the record was one of my most memorable and exciting audiophile experiences.
