I have the Mavic 2 Zoom.  In DJI Go 4 Photo settings I have selected photos to be 16:9.  I have selected Save Raw Pics for Hyperlapse.

When I do a Hyperlapse the film created by DJI Go 4 is 1920x1080 and good.  However to make my own film the size of the saved .DNG files are 960x720.  After lightroom adjustments you get 4000x3000 jpg's.

So I get 4:3 pics, not 16:9.  So I cannot make a 1920x1080 film like DJI Go 4 does.

What am I doing wrong?

I haven't done much with hyperlapse yet..  I guess everyone with the M2 is still pretty green

The 960x720 images you see when looking at the RAW files are most likely low res thumbnail images inserted to provide a quick preview of the DNG file without having to fully process it.   Also, I don't think it's possible to get a DNG file in a 16:9 aspect ratio.  The DNG file is unprocessed data from the whole 4000x3000 sensor.

It looks like the Mavic firmware is capturing a 4000 x 3000 image (using the whole sensor).  To get to the 16:9 ratio, it's cropping the image to 4000x 2250. (Taking 375 pixels from the top and 375 pixels from the bottom)...  Then the image is resampled down to the desired 1920x1080 pixels..

If that's the case, then you'll have to do the same..  Crop, the images down to 4000x2250 by removing 375 pixels from the top and bottom.  then resize them to 1920x1080.  There may be a way to do it as a batch process.   I'm not familiar with Light Room.

That would have been my answer, I think you are right, jwt. Taking photos, I always use 4:3 because it uses the full 12 Megapixels. Then I crop to 3:2 because that's my regular aspect ratio for photos. For a Hyperlapse, you will need to crop to 16:9. But with 4:3, you can even do 4K Hyperlapses, if you want.

Yes.  For the past two years, I flew a Phantom 4.   I've never taken a 16:9 still either.  I always use the full sensor output and crop to the aspect ratio I require.

And yes, that 4K idea is interesting.  I can't see any reason why you couldn't crop and then downsample the 4000x2250 images to 3840 x 2160..
